Telegram Notifications

Get notified in Telegram when someone submits your form. Messages are sent by the official bot @projmebot — no need to create your own bot or expose any tokens.

Telegram notifications are a two-part setup:

  1. Account level — link your Telegram account once. The bot learns your chat and can message you.
  2. Form level — enable the toggle on each form you want alerts for.
  1. Open Dashboard → Account settings (or click the ⚙ gear on your profile card, or use the user menu in the header).

  2. In the Telegram section click Get linking code. You’ll get a code like AB2CD4E-F5G6H7 valid for 10 minutes.

  3. Open @projmebot in Telegram and send:

    /start AB2CD4E-F5G6H7

    (You can also just paste the code without /start.)

  4. The bot confirms the link, and the settings page switches to connected automatically.

To unlink, click Disconnect in the same section. Only one Telegram account can be linked at a time; linking a new one replaces the old.

  1. Open the form editor → Settings → Notifications.
  2. Turn on the Telegram notifications toggle and save.

Each submission produces one message with:

  • The form title;
  • A question → answer list (long values are truncated);
  • Inline buttons: Analytics (form analytics page) and Submission (responses list).

If Telegram is unreachable on our side, the notification is retried and then silently dropped — form submission itself is never affected.

The buttons lead to your dashboard, which requires authentication. If you open a link in Telegram’s built-in browser while logged out, you’ll be redirected to the login page and returned to the target page after signing in. Opening the same link in a regular browser where you’re already logged in works directly.

The bot doesn’t respond to /start. Make sure the code hasn’t expired (10 minutes) — generate a new one. The bot replies to any message; if you see nothing at all, check that you’re writing to @projmebot.

“Code not found or expired” Codes are single-use and live 10 minutes. Request a fresh one.

No notification on a new submission Check, in order: the toggle is enabled in form settings (and saved); your Telegram is linked in account settings; you sent /start to the bot at least once (the bot can’t message you first). Also check that new submissions actually appear in the responses list.
